Shibori Happy Hour: Arashi

Shibori Happy Hour: Arashi

Shibori is a beautiful Japanese craft that provides the foundations of tie dye. In this class, we will focus on learning Arashi Shibori to create beautiful, one of a kind designs on fabric. This technique makes amazing striping patterns on fabric with infinite variations possible. No experience necessary! If you have taken a Shibori class at Enamel before, this is a great class to deepen your skills while learning something new! Get ready for happy accidents and lovely surprises as you dip your fabric in the indigo vat.

Everyone receives several test pieces to practice with. By the time you leave, you will have solid Shibori skills, and you can totally do this at home.

Fabric is provided, but feel free to bring two or three small items to dye if you like. These should be natural, plant based fibers, like cotton, rayon, viscose, or linen.

Workshop cost is $50 and covers all materials.

Registration closes 48 hours before class. Last minute reservation? Send us a note and we can see if we can fit you in!

Please a date and time from the menu below. There's no difference in the kinds of tickets, but this set up allows you to buy multiple spots in a class or, just purchase one for a friend!

What our students are saying about learning at Enamel:

"I loved this class! I think the best part was that you can't make a mistake. Any way you wrap, bind, fold your fabric still produces an awesome result. The instructor Angela was fabulous. Super friendly and helpful, clearly explained the technique. I left with three swatches of dyed cotton fabric and one dyed silk scarf. Plus there were cocktails! Super fun class."
